What are RSS feeds ? RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is an effective way of staying up to date with new content posted to a website without having to visit the website to check each time. To view RSS content you need programs called feed "readers" or "aggregators". You can subscribe to a feed by supplying a link to it. The program checks your subscribed feeds to see if any of those feeds have new content since the last time you checked, and if so, retrieve that content and present it to the you. In addition, the latest versions of the Firefox web browser from www.firefox.com and Internet Explorer from www.microsoft.com have built in RSS newsreading features, avoiding the need for a dedicated RSS program.
