Encouraging and supporting single, separated and sharing parents since 1978
We provide aid to help people come to terms with the new realities brought about by parenting largely on their own.
We do this through Support Groups, which may or may not be attached to Branches, and who are made of other lone parents. They provide adult peer support and also, through regular outings, holidays and parties, help families go forward from their present position.
From our office in the Carmichael Centre in Dublin we operate a national Advice/Help Line. This office also coordinates our low cost Counselling and Mediation Services, and also refers callers; who can be by tel, email or in person, to other bodies operating in this area and who may have more information that we consider to be relevant to the caller's needs. |

We network lone parent families through self help groups and present the voice of lone parents in issues of policy and national debate. We make representations to Government Departments, Health Boards and the media.
