Description
The Irish Heart Foundation is the only national voluntary organisation in Ireland working to reduce premature death and disability from heart disease and stroke through research, education and community service. The Foundation is a member of: The European Heart Network World Heart Federation National Heart Alliance Medical Research Charities Group Irish Charities Tax Reform Group Founding member of ASH Ireland Cadiovascular Strategy Task Force National Obesity Task Force Dublin Chamber of Commerce

The Foundation was Established in 1966 when it was apparent that heart disease and other cardiovascular diseases were majot and increasing public concerns. Coronary heart disease had reached epidemic proportions.
