In 1994 a group of
Irish people identified the need for a support group for bone
marrow transplant patients and their families. Their online
presence is an extension of the information and support services
they have offered to bone marrow and stem cell transplant patients
and their families since their establishment.
Aims and Objectives: The group welcomes all types of Blood and Bone Marrow Transplant patients -allogenic, autologous, stemcell and NST procedures. Its members are made up of patients with many types of leukaemias including AML, ALL, CML, as well Aplastic Anaemia , Multiple Myeloma, Lymphomas and other malignant diseases.
The BmtSupport group caters for patients and their families, providing information, empathy and support, and through their website, links to other resources.
