The National Council
for the Blind of Ireland (NCBI) is a not for profit, voluntary
organisation offering a service nationwide to persons experiencing
problems with their eye-sight. NCBI is a registered charity
and has been in existence since 1931. The National Council
for the Blind of Ireland is established to promote the full
independence of people with impaired vision and to minimise
the disabling effects of vision impairment.
Trained staff and volunteers work with NCBI in providing a
wide range of regionally based quality services to over 7,000
persons. Over 1,000 persons every year confronted by significant
sight loss use the services of NCBI to again establish their
equilibrium as fulfilled, independent people living with their
loss of vision. |
