The nurses were very kind to my aunt if very overworked.

Around the base of the taps and shower units was grimy. I saw one night nurse going from one surgical patient to another, after operations, checking stitches and dressings, without changing her gloves. Patients had to chase down nurses for medications and the 'consultant' didn't know what he was talking about and hadn't a clue what was wrong with me even though he was the one who admitted me. A man brought back to the ward in a plaster was left lying there for about 20 mins before anyone came to see him safely into bed.

Extremely frustrating visit to A&E. Waited over 3 1/2 hours with my daughter who needed an x-ray. Could not be told when we would be seen, even after 3 1/2hrs so had to leave without any treatment and with daughter still in pain. Now have to find somewhere else to get her treated. Seems to be a very badly run system.

The maternity department of this hospital issimply fantastic! I couldn't begin to praise them enough. but a special word to Gemma and Karen who were with me throughout labour and delivery! My baby girl is here thanks to your care and professionalism - for that I am truely grateful.

They could do with cleaning the hospital a bit more, on arrival to our room in the children's ward the cot for our son had the old bed clothes from the last child and a half eaten banana with the skin sitting on the cot also and sometimes the doctors and nurses can be very rude and treat the parents/patients with little care or respect.

I was asked to sign a document that protects the staff and the hospital and takes away the rights of the patient. Less than one hour before surgery when you are confused, scared, worried etc especially after the admitting doctor has just marked the wrong arm for surgery. How would you feel ? Afterwards I inform the medical staff I cannot wear plaster dressing on the would but it must be bandaged instaed. What did I get going home, yes you are right Plaster Dressing. Thank you for listening.

My elderly mother was admitted at short notice (twice) and received excellent care throughout both her stays. She had one-on-one care for much of the time which was just wonderful and was of great comfort to her and her family. The level of care at all levels was outstanding and the doctors, nurses and staff were helpful and fiendly at all times.

Overall the Medical Staff were very attentive to me as I was very ill, they helped me on the road to recovery and thankfully due to their expertise I am fine again.
