Overall was not satisfied in the slightest with this hospital, the staff were rude and ignorant and not only to me but to other patients and even a few staff members from what I saw. Completely unacceptable and will not be returning.

An excellent hospital and a "home from home. The building interior was no way like typical hospitals.

The Galway Clinic is more a business than a hospital. In my opinion, the consultants seem to be only concerned with how much money they can make. We waited six weeks to see a consultant because he was supposed to be on holidays! We had to wait until this consultant came back and even then he was too busy to talk to us. He met us one day as a family and his beeper and phone kept ringing while he informed us that my mother had a serious illness. Very unprofessional!

I attended the A&E department after slipping in the bath and hurting my shoulder. After 45 mins I was seen by a nurse who asked me to explain what had happened and then took my blood pressure. I was then told that the docter was too busy to see me now and to wait back in the waiting area and I would be called shortly. A few minutes later the receptionist called me and said I was to go home and make an appointment with a neurologist for next week. I was very annoyed that I was being sent home without seeing a doctor or getting my shoulder X-rayed and had a bill for 120 euro. I left the Galway Clinic and attended another Galway hospital where I was looked after professionally. When I got home I had a missed call from the Galway Clinic. I rang it back to be told by the sister in charge of A&E that they were busy and they had mixed up patients details and I should never have been sent home without treatment. I would never recommend this clinic.

I found all the staff on the day of my angiogram to be helpful, kind and reassuring. Without exception they all displayed a great sense of humour and at the same time total dedication to the care of the patients and to the work of the department. I felt that the hours that they had been working was a little too long and yet despite feeling a little tired they maintained a wonderful cheerful attitude throughout. Overall my experience of the staff and the hospital was a very positive one. A special thank you to you all.

Attended for health screening and advised that it would take 2 hours, Got out after 3.75 hours, no car parking facilities whatsoever, was given a cup of water and 2 biscuits after fasting as advised for 14 hours, left attached to ecg leads for 90 minutes with nobody in the room, whilst waiting for a stress test, the vascular scan could not be done as the person who did that was not in. Had to queue for an x-ray,for definite would not recommend or return to this facility, very expensive for treatment received. No organisation.

I went into the Galway Clinic to have my gallbladder removed, I was breastfeeding my 4 and a half month old and this was no problem to bring him with me the nurses Grainne and Lorraine were wonderful and so kind, the house doctor Michelle was a gem about breastfeeding after the anesthetic and painkillers ie how long to wait etc, I would highly recommend the hospital and staff, my surgeon Dr Mark Regan was fantastic and all his team also

I would not recommend the clinic. On a recent attempt to get admitted through the A+E dept were told that there was no medical consultant on call the weekend of 27th april. Unbelievable. Overall not happy with the level of nursing care to particularly dependent patients.

Dr Coss and Dr Boucher Hayes went above and beyond the call of duty and were kind, reassuring and really exceptional in their approach. This is so refreshing to experience and I cannot recommend them enough.

Sister and staff nurses in Dayward were very sympathetic, kind and informative. I was regularly updated as to when my procedure would proceed. I couldn't praise their care enough. Keep up the good work.

Communication to patient was very poor. I was let go after having a kidney stone removed without seeing the surgeon and anyone explaining whether I would be in pain after. Also not told when to come back to have my stent removed. I had to google to see what to expect after the procedure. Very poor.

Attended for a scan and on this occasion when called by the doctor, was informed that I had a "very long winded name" in front of a waiting area full of people which I found quite embarrasssing, unprofessional and was not something that served to put me at my ease. I was then called back for a another scan after the results were forwarded to my doctor as they thought they had seen something on the first scan (which turned out to be nothing). On return, I was treated by someone who seemed to be only learning how to insert needles for my procedure. This was not mentioned to me before I was brought in for my scan, nor was I asked if I was comfortable with this. An obviously more senior doctor was supervising this staff member who made several attempts to insert the needle into my right arm, each time having to take it out and re-insert. Finally they, I assume, thought they had done this correctly, however when checked by the other doctor it had to be removed and inserted into my left arm by the senior doctor. I found this extremely unsettling. Several months after my scans I received a letter demanding payment for same despite the fact that I had paid via credit card on leaving the hospital on each occasion. It took some convincing to make them realise their error and luckily I was able to find the actual receipts with a transaction number on before they actually believed me when I told them that I had indeed paid for my scans.

My father had a recent admission for an ongoing illness, speedy treatment in the ER department and found a bed relatively easily. Overall satisfied with his stay. Cannot praise the nurses on the ward enough - made the stay for my father and my family almost like a holiday for him! Will never go back to a public hospital after the care he received here. Consultant was very good throughout our stay and follow-up appointments were prompt with no delays when attending same.

The persoin carrying out a scan was very unfriendly, hardly spoke at all and did not explain procedure. On leaving he told me to press buzzer on wall, to open door when i was ready to leave,i had to remind him to remove cannula from my arm.

Info given to me upon leaving hospital was difficult to retain due to painful condition! Unsure on leaving hospital who would contact me next, whether I would be contacted by letter or should just turn up in 2/3 weeks with ongoing condition. Thank you.

A disaster. Parking is chaotic and non- existent. The park and ride option was not explained prior to my visit. The receptionist was very busy reading while I asked directions. I had a 50+ min wait to see the consultant, at no point was this 50 min wait policy explained to me, I would never have agreed to it. Never never again, I left and shall move to another consultant in another hospital. It is a copy and paste version of the HSE atitude to healthcare. I was so disappointed
