Midwife Aoife and student midwife Hazel in delivery were outstanding. They completely relaxed me through what could have been a very stressful delivery and were brilliant in the hours leading up to it. I really couldn't say enough about them, wish I got their surnames. Aoife has a son called Charlie and Hazel is from Co. Kerry.

I had both of my children in CUMH and was on 3 South both times. All staff were exceptional, but in particular: - Emma, Karen and Paulette in Theatre; - Norma English in Recovery, whose exceptional kindness and empathy my husband and I still talk about, and who was crucial to helping me get breastfeeding established; - Karen, Mary and Claire on 3 South, who were rocks of sense and the best caregivers I have ever had the privilege to meet; - Mary and Jane in the Neo-Natal Unit, who take such good care of all the babies in the unit.

Dr Anna Arya - Dr Arya was my gynae and delivered my premature baby at 34 weeks - I cannot fault her in anyway and because of her I have a beautiful 2.5 year old little girl. She is a fantastic gynae and I will be forever thankful to her. Leesa Kennefick

All the midwives in 3 South. Every single one of the nurses/midwives were fantastic. My nurse who looked after me in my ward was called Mary - she was fantastic but all the staff were amazing. Also the midwives who tended to me all through my labour were fantastic. The level of care was exceptional, I had no previous experience of this hospital and this was my first baby. I was overcome by the excellent service given to me. I was in labour for almost 24 hours in CUMH before my baby was born and I was given the greatest of care all of the time - my delivery was fast, stress free and I simply have the most beautiful memories of my baby girl being born. In addition there was actually a shortage of midwives/nurses the week my baby was born due to contract nurses being on strike. Unbelievably this did not affect me in the slightest. I simply cannot emphasise the level of care I received for the three days I was in CUMH - I will be eternally grateful. My baby is now three months old and thriving. Somehow I feel I must attribute her placid nature to the beautiful, relaxed birth she had - the midwife helped me breastfeed her within 20 mins of her being born and I'm still breastfeeding her exclusively since. Thank you CUMH. Looking forward to returning some time in the next couple of years :)
