AnnMarie in the Day Ward a lovely caring nurse. She really made me feel relaxed pre surgery and was very, very attentive and caring post op. All the nurses and doctors on this ward were excellent to deal with. I felt very well looked after. Lillian in the pre op assessment unit was very informative about the procedure and recovery. She took very good care of me. The staff at the day ward where I had my endoscopy were extremely caring and made me feel very comfortable. The radiologist who did my ultrasound was very good. Also, my surgeon Mr Johnston was exceptional. I felt very relaxed with and confident in him. His care and professionalism put allay to my worries and concerns undergoing the operation. I wouldn't hesitate being under his care again.

I found the oncology nurses in oncology excellent, very kind and respectfully to my mother who died there. Even when she was unconscious, they spoke so kind to her, as if she was awake. Also for a nurse called Chris, who came down to reception to bring me up to the room where my mother had been moved to in the middle of the night, a bit of kindness that meant so much. Thanks Chris and all in the oncology ward.

My father was an inpatient for several weeks on the ENT ward. Due to his illness he wasn't able to eat normally. We were so grateful to the dietician on the ward Geraldine Sexton. She spent a lot of time with Dad and listened to his concerns. She made sure that we had everything we needed when he was discharged and that he was confident in giving himself his feeds. She arranged appointments with Dad outside her normal clinic times and was and still is always on the other end of the phone if we have any problems. We are truly grateful for all her care and support. She is a true healthcare professional.
