All the nurses on St Brigids Ward are absolutely fantastic, too many to mention individually but a big thank you to Jenny Corballis for explaining everything to me on my discharge. Bea in catering is also fantastic and comes in every morning with a cheerful hello!

All the staff of the A & E Department were outstanding, especially the medical doctor. The nurses in the acute medical unit were equally as outstanding, particularly the male nurse who primarily looked after me.

The staff in A+E and the Nutley ward were uniformly professional and carried out their duties to a very high standard. My son arrived in A&E at midnight and was dealt with immediately. He had suffered an injury to his testicle and all staff were very sympathetic and sensitive in their dealing with him.

Nurses at the crohns clinic are just fabulous they explained everything to me and gave me their contact details so now I have someone to call when I have a flare-up of my condition. One sat with me for 2hours and helped me with my injections which was wonderfulbecause learning to inject yourself is a hard, painful process, particularly if your scared of needles like me!And they always says hello to me in the hospital-when your in the waiting room all nervous sometimes all you need is a smile.

Prof John Hyland, Consultant Colorectal/General surgeon. Prof Hyland was extremely courteous, calm, kind, informative and approachable. He was gentlemanly, reassuring, helpful, understanding and very patient as I have a phobia of needles. If I had to have another similar operation, I would choose Prof Hyland as I have total confidence in him.
