The nurses in the the children's ward. They were amazingly friendly and helpful. My son was six months old when he was addmitted for three days (nothing serious). The nurses were so gentle with him and so caring, they made it a pleasent place to be. They explained everthing to me and really went out of their way to make us feel as comfortable as they could. Five-star nurses!! There was also a doctor in the a&e department. I think he was a registrar, his name was ahmed. Such a nice and bubbly man, he was so gentle when examning my son and was also laughing and giggling with him. He never took his eyes off him the whole time we were in a&e, even when dealing with other patients he kept checking back which obviously made me feel better about the situation. He also explained everything to me in understandable terms and told me the signs to look out for if my son would need medical intervention. A real asset to the hospital.

i want to thank annette walsh and yvonne for their outstanding care and attention, second to none. they are lovely cheery girls in the middle of depressing night for myself, i hope their director of nursing appreciates them.

Dr. Carl Vaughan. Cardiology Dept. He treats the patient with dignity and explains everything in detail and has the ability to make the patient feel relaxed and secure.

The nurses and staff in PC ward provided my father with the most considerate and attentive for the best part of 5 weeks until he passed away. I was always confident and comforted by the knowledge that Dad was receiving such excellent care and all his needs were being met.

Theatre nurse called Mags. Took a personal interest and came to visit me on the ward. Ward nurse called Rose/Ros/Roz. A very capable and informative individual, first class.

Dr C Vaughan and CCU staff were excellent. Everything explained in detail. Everybody I met in the Mercy Hosp treated me with dignity and with the utmost of respect. Care was excellent in every department. Thanks to all.

From my initial OPD appointment prior to my hospitalisation right through to my follow up appointment following discharge, Mr Paul Sweeney, consultant urologist, provided me with excellent care. It was immediately obvious that he has a patient-centred approach to providing care and is an excellent surgeon. He took time to allay my concerns at the earliest opportunity by keeping me updated on pathology reports as soon as they became available.

Don't know the names of the nurses but the staff in A%E were extremely nice and reassuring, i have attended all three hospitals in cork and pleasant caring nurses always make the stressful experience that bit easier to deal with. i have yet to have a negative experience with nursing staff and i hope that situation wont ever arise,
