Len - don't use fabric softeners at all. We have toddler with eczema. Use Fairy non bio, no fabric softeners and always make sure all clothes are 100% cotton against the skin. Apple juice and cheese can also cause flare up in our kid. Also i find some shampoos can make it worse. Not based on anything except our experience but Head and Shoulders works best for us. Dandruff and eczema seem to be the same sort of thing which led me to that solution! Good luck

Have you tried changing washing powder or using less. He could have an allergy to biological powder. I used to have awful rashes due to it as a child. If he still has it tell your doc you want to see a specialist. Doc\'s aren\'t always right. Some think they know everything for sure.

My 2 yr old son has severe rash behind knees , on neck , and less severe on arms , back and tummy. He also has sore on his chin last few months .We've brought him to GP several times who said it was infantago, who gave him anti-biotics twice .We've tried creams , silcox base etc . he's very clean . looking for advice or professional help
