Add to that that many of our schoolls still do not have warm running water, even when they have central heating. Either the boilers are too old to be adapted to supply warm water, or the boards of management have never been able to afford it. As a yound teacher I was laughed at for suggesting this was a health hazard. 30 years n, for very many children the situation remans the same.

Shocking! Esp considering the wealth in this country! We should all hang our heads in shame.

This is tragic. The idea that in this ay and age with internet acess , 4 x4 cars, designer wardrobes and 1/2 million euro houses that 15% of our chldren go to bed hungry and cold.
