I have noticed that it not as scaly and red as it used to be but the size of the patches have stayed the same. He is continuing to drnk it so heres hoping in 5 more months there will be a much more noticable difference |

The improvement has slowed, there is still a visible week on week change. After two months, obviously it would be too soon to make any statements, hence this discussion to find out if anyone had experience of this. |

Aspirin is Salacylic Acid and was discovered just over 100 years ago from the observation that extract of willow relieved pain. The extract was chemically analysed and the active principle has been synthesized since.Since the active chemical in Willow Water has the same action as Aspirin, one would expect there to be some pain relief from it; it also follows that, since the active ingredient is the same, then it might be that Willow Water could have the same side effects as Aspirin....mainly stomach ulceration, and there could be serious allergic reactions in those psopple who are allergic to Aspirin. Herbal remedies that have a real pharmalogical effect will also have pharmalogical side-effects! I do not think that this is generally realised. For instance, Phyto-Oestrogen (from plants)if it has beneficial effects can also have serious side effects, such Endometrial Cancer and, possibly, an increased risk of breast cancer. |
