I used to be the same in my youth until I reached a point where you realise everyone knows what psoriasis is - if they haven't got it, they know someone who has. I don't hide mine any more and I certainly don't worry about it any more. Just think, the worry will only make it worse. So stop beating yourself up. I have dated, gone swimming, etc and nobody has given me a second glance. I think if you worry about it you automatically believe everyone is pointing the finger - not everyone is ignorant!! Once in a while I may feel as if someone is looking at it abit too much when i'm at work or wherever, so I make a point of bringing it into a conversation. They tend to be the ones red faced or relieved for the explanation. Live your life to the full - you could be far worse off!!!

Yeah, Brian. I'm there with you. It's so depressing!. I love swimming but I refuse to go to the swimming pool now because my skin is so bad and I can't handle the stares and the finger-pointing. Dating is so scary too! It actually happened to me that my skin affected my love life and the rejection is so harsh.
