I now use nimue cleanser, toner and mosituriser and although it has not cured my rosacea, i find it benefits my skin greatly. I used to have such trouble applying makeup. My skin would flake when i'd apply my makeup and i ended up taking it off and reapplying 2-3 times or more when getting ready for a night out. It was a nightmare. I can now apply my makeup in 1 application, no more flakiness. I am still trying to find a cure though. I tried giving up yeast/dairy but saw no improvement. Maybe i didn't perservere long enough. Hope it works for you. |

I have now broken out again but this time it is getting worse and has no signs of going away. I am so fedup of it. I have always suffered from acne but mostly on my chin and nose but never on my cheeks which is where the Rosacea type rash has appeared. Even though they call it Acne it is not like acne, as in the spots are smaller and the skin is sore and red. I have to say I feel for all you others who are going through this horrible skin rash as there are days that I avoid going out and hate the thoughts of having to go to a party or social event as my face is flushed with a rash that is so dry and bumpy that I cannot even cover it with makeup as it just goes all clumpy... I could cry and have done so.So now that we are beginning a new year I have decided to try some alternative ways as opposed to using oral antibiotics(which do work), I am going to try going on a yeast free diet. I have being doing some reading on the Internet and found that a lot of our ailments are due to bad diet; too much wheat, caffeine, alcohol and even dairy products. So after being very very bad at Christmas I have now cut down on my intake of sugar, caffeine and yeast. I now eat porridge for breakfast made with water, have cutout bread except soda bread, cutout pasta and just stick to brown rice or potatoes and have started eating alot of green vegtables. I am also taking natural yogurt tablets which will fight off too much yeast in the body and topup the friendly bacteria which has being killed off from taking too many antibiotics. So far there is an improvement in my skin but its early days yet. I do need to get off sugars completely and take soya milk instead of dairy but it is hard switching to things you don't like so I am doing it gradually. I will let you all know if I find a cure or at least something that will help! (Hope I havent bored you all, thanks for listening and wish me luck!) |

Aparently it affects millions of people, is there any research been carried out. Any info. please we'd be very greatful. My partner is declining family outings, taking days off work, he's very irritated, aggravated, self conscious because of it. Any help please.... gemeur@oceanfree.net |

My young 15 year old daughter has been recently diagnosed with Rosacea. I must say that I found this harder to accept that myself having the disease. |

It has taken a couple of months to have any effect. My dermatologist has recommend Photoderm laser to help with the redness and blushing. He says it will reduce both and that I will need at least three sessions. Each session cost about £250. I have given up alcohol and sun holidays as they aggravte my skin.I bought a fan which I bring everywhere with me (even to work). I work in a warm enviroment and am on the telephone all day. I find this makes my face very hot. The Fan provides great relief. I have found alot of information on the internet. A very good site is Acne-Rosacea.co.uk This is a site run a fellow sufferer. He does recommend using Aloe Vera. I have not tried this product yet. It can be ordered from the U.K. Has anyone else tried this aloe vera gel? I would be very interested to hear about this. |
