I have recently been thru a very truamatic situation and there are days when I feel 10 or 15 years older than I am - this is bound to show in my face. So, getting counselling / therapy may be a good idea. Also, look atyour lifestyle. Are you gettign enough sleep. Tiredness will dull your skin and shadow under your eyes - which is bound to make you look older. How much alcohol, tea and coffe do you drink - these are dehydrating and also havea damaging effect on the skin. Finally, WATER WATER WATER - how much of it are drinking. Dehydration will make your skin dull, make you feel more tired and sluggish and affect your concentration. Three litres a day is the minimum amount of water you should be drinking. Finally, to protest your skin, you need a good moisturiser with a SPF and minimize the amount of time you spend in the sun. |

Maybe you do look older because of worry, but maybe it's just you! Unless you smoke, of course, which is definitely the most aging thing possible. |

I am sure your mental state comes out in your appearence in some form or another. Going to a counselor would probably help a lot, I would think. |

I am told by my friends I don't look older and I don't have a huge amount of lines, there are some fine ones around my eyes and that's about it. Others tell me I 'appear' more confident and mature and my attitude is older than my years but this feels like a cop out to me. First of all I wonder if anyone could tell me of a good product/treatment to combat premature ageing. I would also like to know if anyone has heard of links between emotional problems and facial manifestations. I have for some time planned to go to counselling to sort some things from my past, I wonder could this possibly be wearing me down almost, and could my older appearance be a sign of an unhealthy mental attitude? |
