Oh yes it makes sense. I was told of a trick that you could try, stand on your tiptoes and let fall like a thud down onto your heels, do this a few times. Its supposed to hopefully bring back down the stomach.

I think the pain may be caused from some food or drink. I know with me if I'm not careful that I will pay a price.

I was on Zoton but I didn't really find that it worked very well and now I'm on nexium but I can see if going the same way as the Zoton. To me they are for treating reflux which I don't really get that often. I need something to treat the pain and reduce my stomach back to where it should be when if flares up. Sometimes I feel like swallowing a weight to drag it back to where it should be. If that makes sense.

Stress definitely doesn't help, I know that from experience. Like you I have been doing some walking lately to see if it will help also my GP changed my meds and for the first time I feel I can manage this.

Hi,

I do get bloated sometimes but not very often. I find it can happen a day or two after I get the pain from my stomach moving into my diaphragm.

I have to say I am lucky when it comes to foods, the foods the I can't eat are the foods that I was never really fond of in the first place. I have become more vigilant in watching what I am eating over thepast number of weeks because the pain was becoming more frequant and I started back in the gym this week so I am hoping that between the two, that it will help.

I don't know if you noticed but would you say stress can bring on your herina pain?

Hello,

Just read your post. I hope you have got some relief since. I also have IBS and a hiatus hernia. My food type is very limited, no fruit, salads or spices. I know exactly how you feel. I find if I bend for too long or lift something heavy I set it off. Just wondering have you any problem with bloating?

Hi,

Must wondering if anyone might be able give me some advice. For some years now I have had problems on & off with my stomach & bowels. First I was diagnosed with IBS which triggers when I am stressed. I have learned how to manage this.

Two years ago I started getting serious pains in my upper abdomin. It would happen in the middle of the night, with no warning, no heart burn. After several trips to doctor on call, to my own GP & a consultant I was diagnosed with a sliding hiatus her is.  Every so often my stomach slides up into my diaphragm.

Both my GP & consultant don't recommend an operation as it is such a huge procedure. I was given Zotan to take.

Zotan is great for heartburn. It I don't get it that often because I avoid the things that cause it. I still however get the serious pain. I was back with my GP and he said that it should just go away. But pacing the floor for five hours last night is not like something that will go away.

Painkillers do eventually work but they take a while. Sometimes I feel like swallowing a weight to pull my stomach back to where it should be.

I would just be interested if anyone has similar experience or if anybody has been given medication that works.
