I have chronic endometriosis and am infertile as a result. We have had two unsuccessful IVF attempts but I'm ever hopeful. I'm waiting for further surgery at the moment and then hopefully we will start another cycle. With regards to your tests, you will just have blood tests and possibly an internal scan. Your husband will have a semen analysis done and that's it. The results of these tests will determine the possibilities, and dosage of medication required and then the ball starts rolling. I wish you both the very best of luck, just remember to try and stay positive, it's very hard sometimes, but needs must! Acupuncture can be very helpful throughout the whole process, and I found the book 'Fit for Fertility' by Zita West a help on the right road. For future reference I would suggest you go to the discussion board on 'IVF' or 'Dealing with Infertility' on this site as that is where most postings are. Take care of yourself and each other over this time and best of luck. xx |

I recently have started the ball rolling about getting fertility tests done. I just had normal bloods taken and next thursday i have the LH test. Im waiting on an appointment for a fertility doctor. My doc said there are more tests to be done. i would love it and appreciate it if somebody who has undergone these tests already, could tell me what these tests consist of. Im really nervous. Thanks. |
