Vaginal cancer is cancer which originates in the vagina. It is actually extremely
rare as most cancers found in the vagina have actually originated somewhere
else in the body, such as from the uterus.

Vaginal cancer usually only occurs in women over the age of 50 and is rarely
seen in women under that age.

Surgery to remove part or all of the vagina is often necessary. This is a complicated
operation, however if it is carried out in time, a full recovery is possible.
Radiotherapy may also be required.
