This headline is misleading. It says - Fertility treatment link to cerebral palsy
But in the actual artivcle it is clear that it is not the fertility treatment itself which increases the risk : "However when the researchers took into account the effects of multiple births and premature deliveries, ‘the risk of cerebral palsy in assisted conception disappeared'.
I understans that the reason , single embryo is less common is because it results in a much lower chance of a pregnancy establishing, hence resulting in further IVF cycles, heartbreak, risk and expense.
