Does anyone know if it is possible to get a dexa scan without a letter from a GP. My mother has very bad osteo and altho i hv broken bones several times in the last few years no one has ever suggested i get a scan. I'm in my 50s, a medical card holder and so tend to see a different GP in a large practice when i go . So i hv no real connection with any of them. you usually get 2or 3mins with dr and doesnt allow time for much discussion. I live in south west Dublin.
