Ninety-three
per cent of Parkinson's Disease patients think it is a disruptive condition,
rating it above heart disease, anxiety, arthritis, diabetes and asthma.
The
research has also revealed that 42% of Parkinson's patients think there
is social stigma attached to the condition.
In
Ireland, it is estimated that 6,000 adults suffer from Parkinson's disease.
The
research was published to mark the launch of a new exercise chart to help
improve the flexibility and mobility of patients with Parkinson's disease.
The
chart has been launched as a joint initiative between Lundbeck Ireland
and the Parkinson's Association of Ireland.
