Gabry, aside from your age or profession, or indeed location or personal circumstances, it seems to me that many of your medical conditions may stem from your Fibro - the blood pressure, the depression, the palps and the pain.
If your medical care team could concentrate on gettign to the root of your Fibro, this may positively impact the other conditions as well. Altho cholesterol is asy to treat with statins and the ulcer, tho painful has it's root in the heliobacter pylori baterium, whiyhc is also treatable, the burden of these do serve to make the existing conditions so much harder for you to cope with I imagine.

in reply to (gabry). it seems to me that you have a bad reaction to something, or other, it would help if you stated what age you were, what do you work at, and are you in a stable relationship. another factor would be what area do you live in, if these factors were included there might be something that could be done.

I'm a cronic patient. I've lots of medical problems; I spend my maximum allowence every month on my regular prescriptio: tablets for: depresion (lexapro), high blood pressure (centyl), palpitations: (amolin), high colesterol: (zocor), ulcer (zoton), fibromialgia: aches and pains (aulin), depression:lexapro, high blood pressure: centyl and a lot of other problems as consequences from my conditions. But even though I suffer from cronic illnesses including arthritis I only go the doctor when I'm dsperately in pain and the money it costs me really puts me under a lot of strain a stress which doesn't do me any good. Why can't the governmentcome up with some law that protects people like me who suffer from cronic illnesses and even though paying high taxes on our salaries can't afford to go to our G.P. when necessary because it's too expencive? It's very unfair, it's too dear. I'm already paying a huge amount of money every month to get my prescription, just to be able to survive and I can't afford any more. Please, please HELP!

of course i avoid going to the doctor because its too costly, one visit to the doctor is my pocket money for the week.

" if you do not have a medical card, the poorer you are, the more likely you are to be deterred from seeing a GP.
"
- This, I would have thought, was quite obvious.

I think that the GP service should be free to everybody and we should go as much as we want.
