Medical Q&As

I seem to have a number of chilblains on all my fingers at the moment which only appeared in the last week or so - is this possible at this time of the year and if so what is the best treatment.

Even though it is the month of May it is still possible to get chilblains. Some of our recent nights have been quite cold and all that is required to trigger chilblains is exposure to cold temperature. Are you absolutely certain that these are chilblains? There are other possibilities such as an allergic reaction on the skin. It is perfectly reasonable to do nothing unless the level of irritation in your skin is annoying you. If you are very bothered by the rash you could visit your local pharmacist or GP depending on your level of discomfort.
