Travel shots

I will be stopping over for just two nights in a hotel in Kuala Lumpur on my way to Australia. Will I need Travel Shots? I suffered meningococcal meningitis two years ago and am fully recovered.

You do not need travel shots for the stopover. If however you were staying for a longer period of time and particularly if you were venturing into the countryside then it would be wise to be vaccinated. However, this might be a good time to review your vaccination status for tetanus and polio. Your history of meningitis does not affect your need for travel vaccinations one-way or the other. The advice to you would be the same as for all other travellers.
