Amniocentesis - available in Ireland?

I am a 36 year old hoping to have one more pregnancy (2 children already). Is it possible to have amniocentesis in the Republic of Ireland and if so, where and if not, how come?

Amniocentesis is available in the Republic of Ireland in both the Rotunda and Coombe hospitals. It may also be available in other centres but I cannot confirm that for you. If you want to learn more about amniocentesis you can read our special feature on this subject, which can be accessed through the following link: http://www.irishhealth.com/index.html?level=4&id=558.
