Torsion of testicle - future fertility?

My partner was operated on for torsion of the testicle when he was in his early teens. Could this affect his fertility?

There are many recorded cases of men with one testicle fathering several children. Assuming that the remaining testicle is healthy it will compensate for the loss of the other testicle by producing more testosterone and increased amounts of sperm. Therefore your partnerís fertility should not be significantly reduced because of the previous removal of one of his testicles.
