Haemoglobin - too high?

My last blood test revealed that my haemoglobin level was 16. I was told at the time that it was a bit on the high side. I know it is still within normal limits but what are the complications regarding high haemoglobin levels.

The level of haemoglobin you refer to is normal even though it is at the higher end of the normal range. It does not require any attention and such a figure has no health implications for you now or in the future. In making these comments I am assuming that all other indices in your recent blood test were normal. You do not need to worry about possible complications from a normal value.
