I had one of my Fallopian tubes removed in 1994. I still have one and I still have my two ovaries. Will I be able to get pregnant or dose this reduce my chances?
It is possible for you to become pregnant with one Fallopian tube. There are many examples of women who succeeded in becoming pregnant again having had a Fallopian tube removed as a result of ectopic pregnancy. Ectopic pregnancy would be the commonest reason for removing the tube. Fertilisation of the egg takes place in the Fallopian tube so if one of them has been removed it may take longer to become pregnant. Over the years I have encountered several women in my practice that had several children despite having only one Fallopian tube.
