Ringworm - treatment?

I have ringworm on my hand. How long will it last and how can I get rid of it?

Ringworm is a fungal infection of the skin, which can persist indefinitely if left untreated. It can be eradicated quite easily with an antifungal cream. If you are definite about the diagnosis and the rash is not too extensive and is not very inflamed it would be reasonable to obtain an “over the counter” preparation from your local chemist. Ringworm responds well to topical treatment and the rash usually clears completely within a couple of weeks.
