Hysteroscopy - explain?
What is a hysteroscopy?
Hysteroscopy is a technique for inspecting the interior of the womb with an instrument called a hysteroscope. The instrument is introduced vaginally and is passed through the cervix or neck of the womb. The examining doctor is able to directly visually inspect the lining of the womb and can take a sample of that tissue. Hysteroscopy can be performed as an outpatient’s procedure and does not require admission to hospital.
