I was recently diagnosed as being coeliac. What does that mean and what’s the best diet?

Coeliac disease is a form of food intolerance in which the lining of the intestine reacts adversely to the presence of gluten in the diet. Gluten is mainly found in cereals such as barley, wheat, oats and rye. There is no prescription cure for the condition but it is possible to live a long and healthy life by avoiding foods that contain gluten.
